1. Agreement and Eligibility
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Folli iOS application and usefolli.com (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. Folli is not directed to children.
2. What Folli Provides
Folli is a local-first wellness and self-observation tool for adults managing PCOS. It provides logging, historical summaries, routine support, nutrition estimates, reports, and related educational insights. Folli does not predict future periods in the current version. Features may require an internet connection, Apple Health permission, camera or photo access, an Apple or Google account, or an active subscription, as indicated in the app.
3. Medical and Nutrition Disclaimer
Folli is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, treatment service, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
- Cycle history, nutrition scores, meal estimates, reports, reminders, and educational content are for general wellness, organization, and self-observation only.
- AI and barcode nutrition results are estimates and can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your circumstances. Verify important information independently.
- Do not use Folli to diagnose or treat PCOS or any other condition, change medication, make urgent decisions, or replace professional care.
- Always consult a physician or other qualified professional about symptoms, medications, nutrition, pregnancy, fertility, or a medical condition. Contact local emergency services for urgent help.
4. AI Features
If you choose AI meal analysis, the description or photo you submit is processed by Folli's backend and Google Gemini to produce an estimate. Generated output may contain errors and does not constitute medical or dietary advice. Do not submit content you lack permission to use or content you do not want processed by these providers. AI use is also subject to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Accounts and Security
Folli creates an anonymous account for guest use. You may connect Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In to preserve access across devices. You are responsible for your device, provider account, and activity performed through your Folli identity. Do not share authentication credentials or treat the six-character Folli ID as a password. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may delete your account from Settings. Deletion is intended to remove the Firebase account and associated remote Folli data as described in the Privacy Policy. Some provider records and backup systems may require additional time to complete deletion.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
Folli may offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. The app displays the available plan, price, billing period, trial or introductory offer, and included features before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation. Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically at the displayed renewal interval and price, subject to any notice Apple requires for price changes.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless Apple states otherwise. Deleting Folli or your Folli account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Purchases can be restored through the app. Apple handles billing, refunds, taxes, and payment disputes under its applicable terms and policies.
7. Your Content and Feedback
You retain ownership of information, photos, messages, and other content you submit. You grant Folli and its service providers a limited license to host, transmit, encrypt, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the features you choose. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content.
If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use the ideas without restriction or compensation, but we will handle personal information included with feedback according to the Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, to harm others, or to submit content that violates another person's rights.
- Probe, attack, overload, bypass, or interfere with authentication, App Check, rate limits, subscriptions, security, or service infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use automated means to access the Service without our written permission or use AI features to develop a competing model or service.
- Submit malicious code or attempt to obtain another user's account or data.
9. Third-Party Services
Folli relies on services provided by Apple, Google Firebase and Google Cloud, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, DigitalOcean, Open Food Facts, and Telegram. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we select and use them to provide the functions described in the app and Privacy Policy.
10. Local Data, Backup, and Availability
Folli's live application data is stored locally, with encrypted remote backups for eligible identities. Backups are a convenience and are not guaranteed archival storage. Devices, networks, providers, corrupted files, account access, or software errors can cause delayed, incomplete, or unavailable backup, restore, synchronization, AI, purchase, or support features. Keep any information you cannot afford to lose in an appropriate independent record.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature to maintain security, comply with law, address provider changes, or improve the Service. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information Folli handles, how it is used and shared, retention, international processing, and your deletion choices. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
12. License and Intellectual Property
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Folli for your own non-commercial use. Folli's software, design, branding, content, and other materials, excluding your content and third-party materials, are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable law.
For an App Store download, these Terms supplement Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Folli except as required by law.
13. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Folli at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create a security risk, misuse the Service, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will continue to apply.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Folli and its developers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, or harm arising from reliance on wellness or AI estimates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These limits do not apply where prohibited or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
16. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms as Folli changes. The revised Terms will be posted at usefolli.com/terms with an updated date. If a material change requires notice or renewed agreement, we will provide it as required. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
